Edit course settings

Overview

This page describes:

  • How to access the Edit course settings page
  • Different Moodle course formats
  • How to release your Moodle course to your students using the Edit course settings page

When to use

The Edit course settings page is where you go when you have completed your course-building, to make the course available to students. See the instructions below.

Keep your course's home page simple, so that it's easy for your students to interpret.

Benefits

The Edit course settings page is one of several places where you can tailor your course's home page to the needs of your course and your students. On this page, you can choose:

  • the page format
  • the number of weeks or topics in the course
  • the course start date

and whether and how various course elements will be visible to students.
