The Moodle label allows academics to add text or media content onto the course main page. It is commonly used to display important content, create headings to group content, and add short descriptions.
Add labels to indicate to your students, how the resources and activities in a course week or topic are organised. Adding labels helps students make sense of the Moodle course organisation. It can divide a confusing or intimidating list of activities and resources into digestible chunks that a student feels comfortable approaching.
In the below example, a label is used to create an "Assessments" section with a description.
Create a Label
Labels are created through "Adding an activity/resource" and selecting the "Label" option.

How to add an image or other media in a Label?
When adding a new label to the course, there are many available formatting options in a text editor that can assist in adding images, videos, audio files, Echo360 recording links, H5P files and much more. Explore options by trying the editor in your Sandpit course.
