  • Connections Seminar: Reducing teacher workload and promoting student engagement with the Echo360 PowerPoint add-in

Presented by Dr Peter Neal, School of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering
Connections Seminar: Reducing teacher workload and promoting student engagement with the Echo360 PowerPoint add-in

The Echo360 PowerPoint add-in provides a simple way to connect teacher’s PowerPoint presentations with UNSW’s LectureRecordings+ platform. Beyond this, the add-in provides opportunities to promote student engagement through the ability to incorporate interactive slides as part of normal PowerPoint presentations. These interactive features promote the engagement of students participating in-class or online. Further, incorporating online responses also includes more students in classroom discussion by removing the anxiety of being confused or saying the wrong thing. For existing users of LectureRecordings+, the add-in also makes it simple to update slides on the fly and allows you to make use of PowerPoints animation and multimedia features. This seminar will provide a practical introduction to getting started with the Echo360 add-in and provide examples of how to use the different capabilities of the platform to promote student engagement and inclusion.
