Warehouse Sim

The UNSW Canberra course on Logistics Management in the Business School has a component on Warehouse logistics. The idea was to replace the simple paper exercise into an interactive 3D simulation running on the web where students could be challenged as they explore the course content in a more immersive and entertaining way. The player needs to manage incoming deliveries, outgoing orders, product placement in the correct racks and other aspects of warehouse management while keeping the experience light enough to pickup quickly and repeat.

Project Details

The first iteration of the project proved to be a bit daunting for new players, so this much more intuitive logic and interface was developed.

TECHNOLOGY & DEVELOPMENT

The active design and development of the project continues with feedback from the academics, education designers and the students being incorporated into the experience as well as the tuning of the simulation numbers. The staff and work integrated learning student developers are using the Unity game engine to bring together all the elements via the webgl experience.
