The Curriculum Evaluation Research (CER) framework provides a sustainable and effective approach for planned evaluation and research into design and delivery of degree-level curricula. Using a distributed leadership model, the CER framework supports a teaching team to coordinate and integrate quality improvement actions, quality assurance reporting and scholarship for dissemination of knowledge.
This workshop will be facilitated by Dr Jo-Anne Kelder, a joint national Australian Council of Deans of Science Fellow for 2019. Jo will present the CER framework, provide an overview of practical resources available through our website and lead a discussion on how it can be applied for curricula across disciplines.
Attendees will be guided through the process to develop a research plan and adapt a generic ethics application for degree-level research along the lifecycle of a course.
About Jo-Anne
Dr Jo-Anne Kelder has been responsible for a number of operational and strategic projects for quality assurance of curriculum and enhancing student experience, as well as research to develop staff capability and practice in curriculum evaluation and scholarship. She has been recognised for contributions to teaching and learning with a number of teaching awards, including a Vice Chancellor's citation in 2017 and a joint national Australian Council of Deans of Science Fellow for 2019.
