Professor Justine Nolan, Academic Mentor, Law

Professor Justine Nolan, Academic Mentor, Law

Professor Justine Nolan is a Professor in the Faculty of Law at UNSW as well as a Visiting Scholar at NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights. Prior to joining UNSW in 2004, she spent more than a decade in practice and was the Director of Business and Human Rights at the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights (now Human Rights First) in the US and also worked as a corporate and public interest lawyer.

Professor Nolan works with civil society, government and business on business and human rights issues. In 2019 she was awarded the 'Academic of the Year' at the Australian Law Awards and in 2018 received the UNSW Vice Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching. Professor Nolan is a UNSW Plus Alliance Fellow and an Associate of the Australian Human Rights Institute.
