UNSW is committed to shifting assessments from the course level to program level by 2026. This change is part of our vision to reimagine assessment and feedback for the benefit of the students and staff. This shift means that we will plan curriculum across programs and specialisations, ensure we have the right mix of assessments across those programs and specialisations, and harness the power of AI to secure assessments at meaningful points.
To support with this transition, PVCE is committed to uplifting the knowledge and capabilities for Program Authorities and Education developers/designers through dedicated Professional Development delivered by our Academic Development team.
Professional development for program authorities
This professional development workshop is designed to introduce program authorities to the concept and importance of Program-Level Approach to Assessment within the UNSW context. It aims to raise awareness of how this approach supports curriculum coherence, student learning outcomes, and external accreditation requirements. This session showcases institutional exemplars of effective program-level practices already in place to foster practical understanding and cross-program dialogue. As a program authority, you will be updated on the current work underway and what is coming next in the curriculum transformation journey.
