    Research poetry –  a novel approach to SOTL

    Research poetry is an emerging arts based method for analysing textual data and communicating this in a novel way. This workshop introduces the potential of research poetry for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and for reflection for learning. Research poetry is outlined and illustrated with authentic qualitative research examples before participants are supported through a five-step process (Miller, 2019) to create and share their own poems.

    Participants registering for the workshop will need to provide their own:

    • Text based data file

    • Laptop or other device
