  • Student Experience Survey (SES)

    Published: 3 September 2024
We have been informed that some students are experiencing difficulties accessing the survey. To resolve this, we recommend that students click the 'Complete Survey' button on the UNSW SES webpage, or go directly to the QILT SES webpage for best access. Please note students do not need to include "z" before entering their student ID number.

Your help needed: The Student Experience Survey opens 12 September!

UNSW is participating in the national QILT Student Experience Survey (SES) conducted by the Social Research Centre, commissioned by the Australian Government.

Results from the SES inform key decisions within UNSW at the program, faculty and overall university level. High-level outcomes are publicly accessible on the ComparED website, and national ratings are featured in The Good Universities Guide, Australia’s largest course comparison resource on higher education. These key outcomes also contribute to the AFR Best Universities Ranking.

Hay your say graphicWe need your help supporting this important research by encouraging your students to complete the survey.

Students will receive an email from SRC to their UNSW email, or they can access the survey by visiting Moodle and following the prompts. All responses are confidential.

On completion of the survey, students will be entered into a weekly draw for the chance to win a prize. Terms and conditions apply.

    Resources for staff

Resources for teaching staff can be accessed via the SES resources page. We recommend showing the in-class slides and video mid-way through your class, when most students are in attendance, to achieve the best response rate. The survey takes approx. 5-10 minutes to complete.

If you have questions, please reach out to [email protected].
