WIL Central launches new UNSW Work Integrated Learning (WIL) website

2019 is culminating with an exciting launch of a new UNSW Work Integrated Learning (WIL) website. Created by WIL Central, the website provides a ‘one stop shop’ of information relating to WIL at UNSW for students, staff, and our industry and community partners.

The initial idea for the website was first conceived by a group of EF Academics at the inaugural Education Focussed (EF) Academic Retreat in 2018. With support from the EF Foundation Funding initiative, the group set to work on a project entitled Work Integrated Learning @ UNSW – Developing skilled graduates, providing best practice for staff, and meeting employability standards.

A new website provides access to a suite of documents and resources for students, staff, and partners to support the design and delivery of high-quality WIL opportunities that provide an optimal learning experience for all students. The resources are available on the Student and Partner pages of the website and on the UNSW WIL Staff Portal, which is accessed from the Staff page. Key among these resources is the new UNSW Work Integrated Learning Procedure and its supporting documents.

A fun collaboration as part of the development of the website was working with a group of Art & Design WIL students. These talented students created a number of audio visual resources including an animation of what is, and what is not, WIL at UNSW; and two videos of WIL students from a range of Faculties talking about the benefits of doing WIL and how to make the most of your WIL experience.

We invite you to click on www.wil.unsw.edu.au and explore more about Work Integrated Learning at UNSW.
