Student Partner Program

What is the Student Partner Program?

Students talking at the Student as Partners Program UNSWThe Student Partner Program aims to better connect students and academics in real time to enhance teaching and learning within a particular course. The program begins within a course at the start of a term and runs for the duration of the term. Student Partners work in a team alongside the course convenor to facilitate two-way feedback between the cohort and teaching staff. They provide agile, real-time communication between educators and the student cohort to make changes, clarify misconceptions and open a dialogue about the student experience.

What courses are eligible to engage in the Student Partner Program?

All courses and course convenors are invited to participate in the Student Partner Program. If you’re a student interested in getting involved, we recommend you start a conversation with your lecturer.

Get involved

In 2024 the Student Partner Program will continue to run in Term 1 and Term 2. If you are a course convenor interested in participating, please complete this EOI form to register your interest and a member of the Academic Development Team will be in touch. (Please note this form is for staff only.)

Support

A group of 2022 Student Partners worked with the Academic Development Team to develop guidelines and resources to support you and your Student Partners throughout the program.

Support options for convenors and students:

  • Support guides for convenors and students
  • Optional weekly online drop-ins for staff
  • Optional weekly drop-in in week 4 for students
