Resources for MOOC Development

UNSW has made the following resources available to faculties to support individual MOOC development.

Institutional investment

The following specialist staff have been deployed to faculties to develop MOOCs, ensuring that experience and skills learnt can be rotated to support  MOOCs in other faculties:

  • 1 FTE Educational Developer Project Manager (for the dev + offer cycle = 16 + 8)
  • 0.5 FTE Educational Technologist (for the dev + offer cycle = 16 + 8)

Direct financial support to faculties

Funding has been provided:

  • to support video production, web development/scripting and copyright release
  • for partial time release of key teaching staff to develop the MOOC
  • to support Graduate Teaching Assistants for the first offering of the MOOC.
