This page collates courses, modules and recordings that support the development of inclusive teaching and understanding of equity cohorts.

Mastering Pedagogical Strategies: Enhancing Teacher Excellence in Higher Education

This self-paced module on pedagogy has interactive elements and an optional quiz at the end of the module. It guides users to understand pedagogy, reflect on their pedagogical beliefs and use those to learn about a pedagogical approach.
Understanding Student Equity@UNSW

The Understanding Student Equity at UNSW online modules will build student and staff understanding of the Gateway Equity Target (GET), widening participation in higher education more broadly, and how we are working to transform the undergraduate student community at UNSW.

Contemporary Approaches to University Teaching (ADCET)

Contemporary Approaches to University Teaching is a free massive open online course (MOOC). With 24 modules, it is designed for new teachers, those who wish to enhance student learning or teaching practice and emerging leaders in higher education. Study is self-paced in two hour modules that can be completed over a semester.
UDL in Tertiary Education

This e-learning program has been developed by the National Disability Coordination Officer Program and the Australian Disability Clearinghouse on Education and Training. This program focuses on the principles and practices of Universal Design for Learning in tertiary settings. It aims to increase your understanding of designing, developing, and implementing UDL into your teaching practice.

UNSW Course Design Institute

During the Course Design Institute, you will focus on your students, what you want them achieve and how you can help them have a significant learning experience. Whether you are brand new to teaching or an old hand, there is always more to be learnt, and we hope that you will find this a rewarding experience that you continue to draw upon long into the future.
Foundations of University Learning and Teaching Program (FULT)

The FULT program is offered to UNSW teaching staff who have one year of recent teaching experience and will be teaching in the year they complete FULT. This program helps develop their practice by exploring a range of perspectives, ideas, theories, and practical approaches to learning and teaching in the higher education context.

Accessibility @UNSW workshop is held once a term. It develops participants' capacity to adjust behaviours and have critical conversations, taking an intersectional approach to accessibility at UNSW.
LGBTQIA+ Allyship@UNSW

Training offered by Diversity and Inclusion develops participants' capacity to adjust behaviours, address discrimination and leverage support services to confidentially assist staff and students within LGBTQIA+ communities.
Cultural Inclusion@UNSW

The Cultural Inclusion@UNSW module provides a foundational basis of knowledge on concepts and key terms critical to cultural inclusion, including intersectionality, codeswitching, and unconscious bias. The workshop is designed to encourage staff to understand their own cultural perspectives as the basis for effective interactions with all members of the UNSW community.
