Mapping Threshold Learning Outcomes

Many programs are developed to meet the expectations of professional bodies and/or associations. These expectations are generally termed "discipline standards". As with the University-espoused UNSW Graduate Capabilities, it is important you consider how you will teach and assess discipline standards across any program.

Mapping threshold learning outcomes of disciplinary standards is the same process as mapping graduate capabilities, Faculty specific graduate attributes or program attributes. It involves reviewing the stated learning outcomes against the learning and assessment activities and program goals to ensure that it is clear how students develop the discipline's desired knowledge, skills and dispositions.

Resources for UNSW staff

The Connections Seminar series and the annual Learning and Teaching Forum provide platforms for UNSW staff to explore different aspects of learning and teaching, share ideas and get feedback on practice and research.

Recordings and presentations can be found on the respective Moodle course sites (self-enrolment key provided)
