GitHub Classroom

GitHub example

Description

GitHub is an industry-standard code repository and version control platform for programmers. It allows programmers to collaborate by

  • sharing codes in public repositories,
  • forking (creating a new project based on existing projects) repositories
  • pulling requests (proposing changes made in a branch for inclusion to the original repository), and
  • social networking

GitHub Classroom enables teachers to introduce industry-standard workflow into classrooms without the hassle of the setup. Classroom creates repositories for students, tracks assignments and integrates with various third-party plugins.
