Eunice Cheng is a 5th year B Medical Studies/B Science (Medicine) Honours/Doctor of Medicine student at UNSW.
Eunice is also a violinist (LMusA Distinction), pianist (AMusA) and composer, who has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. In 2019, Eunice was honoured to perform as a featured violin soloist at the Sydney Opera House in the NSW Arts Unit PULSE Concert. She was also an ENCORE nominee for HSC Music 2 and Extension. Eunice has participated in and won state and national competitions including the prestigious Richard Gill Memorial Award for Composition.
Eunice was Concertmaster of the Young Mannheim Symphonists Orchestra (2017-18) and is currently the Associate Concertmaster of the NSW Doctors Orchestra and member of the World Doctors Orchestra.
Eunice is passionate about giving back to her community through regular volunteer performances at nursing homes and aspires to continuing to share the joy of music with others. It has always been Eunice’s dream to combine her love of medicine and music, so she is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to compose for the UNSW Rising Voices in Higher Education Award.
